Foxtrot and Sierra Day 10

By wpdev July 1, 2014

Captain of Samba: Daniel Today was “Challenge Day”, which meant we got to sail the boat with little to no help from Will, Ish, or Katherine!! At first I had a moment where I had no clue what I was doing, but my fellow crew ran me through the basics and we managed to sail at a reach to a full down wind course to Marina Cay. We then moored and cleaned the boat until we went coral spotting where we matched the coral to a color chart and wrote it down on a paper we turned in for a data collection thing. There were 2 groups scuba diving and snorkeling. Wow, no more space welp…It was REALLY FUN ALL DAY. Wuuhhooooo! DSCN1993 DSCN1995 Today our crew did a great job of learning to work the main and jib sails!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
