After our snorkel at the Indians off of Norman Island, we sailed to Scrub Island. We made a DIY breakfast and the weather was much less windy than it was last week. At Scrub Island, we picked up a mooring ball at Marina Cay, a mooring field just off the docks of Scrub. We took the dinghy to shore and spent time in the grocery store getting ice cream and pizza! We hung out in the pool and got virgin pina coladas before taking land showers.

The next day, our staff motored us from Scrub Island to Trellis Bay on Beef Island and we went to the HLSCC College to start our ASA 201 course. The college is very close to Hodges Creek Marina and has a beautiful campus – it was really cool to see since we are all going to college in the fall! Four hours in the classroom was followed by four hours in the Colgate 26s. After the long day of learning, we went back to Trellis Bay, took showers and got ready, then headed ashore for a sushi dinner.

The following day, the DMTs (Dive Master) assisted with Mega Fleet’s Advanced Open Water course. And we went back to the college for four more hours of teaching various lessons and skillfully weaving Colgates through buoys that were 15 feet apart (it was so cool). We are so excited for the next few days!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
