Today we woke up bright and early at 7 00, for breakfast the crew made pancakes with maple syrup which the whole boat enjoyed. Once open water and advance diverse were dropped off at the dive boat, the non divers went on a hike on salt island where they saw beautiful views and learned about the famous ship wreck the Rhone. Once back, it was announced that kids from the 3 boats would team in and compete in a Colgate race across the channel!! The two team were named after 2 captains Harry and Jules as it was there birthdays.

It was a close race with an intense start, due two the boats cutting each other off, and an intense near photo finish! The over all winner was Jules boat who held the lead for the majority of the race.

After the race there was a bit of water sports and lunch prep while divers returned. Once lunch was done it was time to drop the ball and sail to Nanny Kay to Dock the boat. For many on fleet it was there first time docking a big sailing boat, every crew did a brilliant job with all 3 boats docked. After was deep clean time where all boats got a good clean, once the student’s boat passed inspections the students were allowed free time to explore the Docks, where they could go into shops swim in a pool or get sodas at the bar.

After this full day there was time for land showers which everyone enjoyed and a quiet night on the boat to get ready for the next full fun day!!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
