Today we woke up to the sound of the radio explaining that it’s race day, we had some eggs, toast, and bacon for breakfast along with cereal if we wanted. Then, we did our pre-departure checks and dropped the ball. We sailed from Leverick Bay on Virgin Gorda to Trellis Bay on Beef Island. It was a great sail! Jelliblu decided to take a different route than Samoa and Blue Buddha causing Jelliblu an awesome win!

All of the boats were in Trellis Bay by 11:15. we had some mac & cheese and sandwiches and then said goodbye to the divers for the day. They dived the Rhone and Ginger Steps. Everyone said this was their best dive yet, especially because they saw three reef sharks! While the divers were out, the rest of us got to go to a really cool boutique and pottery store on land. We then went on a truck tour around Tortola and Beef Island. We saw the prison, the school and some murals that taught us about the history of Tortola. The views were amazing and everyone got to take pictures of the islands.

After the truck tour, we went back to our boats and the divers were picked up. We then did some tubing and it was so fun! Then for dinner, we went to a sushi restaurant on shore and it was delicious. We were able to hang out with the other boats and could order virgin pina coladas and daiquiris so it was definitely a highlight on the trip for everyone! Then, we went back to our boats and got a good night sleep before our last day.

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
