Follow Our Journey: Delta 2s, Day 4 (Part 2)
Written by Lilly S., Mate/Social Media Coordinator
Good morning! We are currently docked at Village Cay Marina in Road Town, Tortola, the capitol of the BVIs. Day four went by fast, we all were involved in so much! Since we were so busy, we were not able to capture a plethora of photos, but just know we had an amazing day.
We left The Bight at Norman Island after a spectacular time diving, snorkeling, and enjoying the marine life. Crews did a ‘boat swap’ and a few staff members who normally live on the staff catamaran visited our boats to help out with the sail, while a few Delta staff ran a few errands back at Hodges Creek Marina. The kids enjoyed finally getting to sail together, since the past few days of diving adventures have pulled kids left and right. Everyone got to sail and enjoy each other’s company.
Once we docked in Village Cay alongside Mega fleet, crews kicked into gear to help out with provisions/grocery running, boat cleans, and other miscellaneous jobs. Everyone was super helpful and it made for an efficient afternoon of chores. Once that was all finished, and once every boat was docked, we made a chicken-fried rice dinner, and later participated in a Soda Social! We do a social once a program, where fleets get to hang out, grab sodas and fun frozen drinks (virgin, of course) and get to socialize and dance the night away on the dance floor. It’s safe to say everyone had a blast. After that, it was bedtime after a busy day. Stay tuned for more Delta adventures soon!
