This morning, the fleet woke up at Cooper Island to the sight of crystal clear skies and glassy water. The crew, settling into the routine of the Sail Caribbean way, made a breakfast buffet with cereal, fruits, bagels, and cream cheese. After breakfast, the open water and advanced open water divers went out with the dive boats, and some of them even earned their diving certifications today! Our non-divers took part in small boat sailing aboard our Colgates, tubing, and a relaxing snorkel.

After a morning filled with fun, we cooked some tasty quesadillas and headed out for a sail to Lee Bay on Scrub Island. During our sail, we were chased by a bit of a squall and felt like a fleet of adventurous pirates.

After a briefing we dropped anchor and went for a swim.

We washed up and took some boat showers, while those on dinner duty made chicken caesar salad wraps or pasta bolognese.

Next we cleaned the boat, scrubbing the deck and tidying up.

Some fluffy pink clouds brought lightening, thunder, and rain. We battened down the hatches and had a headlamp-lit sing along session accompanied by guitars played by some talented campers.

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
