Follow Our Journey! Bravo, Charlie, Foxtrot, & Sierra 1- Day 18
Written by Tripp P., Mega Fleet Captain
We woke up this morning to a sunrise over Jost Van Dyke at Diamond Cay. All came ashore for the Bubbly Pools Hike out of Foxxy’s Taboo. The island was blooming with tons of purple and pink flowers along our trail. Once at the pools, we played a Trivia game to get to know – and soak – your counselors. After everyone was thoroughly soaked, we got B2B (back to boats). We dropped the ball to go to Sandy Cay and prepare for the Sail Caribbean Olympics!
After a lunch of Mac and cheese with hidden veggies, we headed ashore to compete in our trademarked games of Dizzy Fender Relay, Tug of War, Synchronized Swimming, & Bury Your Counselor Sand Art! After hard competition and lots of tug of war stalemates, our games came to an end and we finished with some swimmy fun time in the clearest, crystal blue water! So fun!
To end off our night, we had a fleet dinner of grilled chicken, mac and cheese, potato wedges, salad, fruit, and cole slaw ashore at Sydney’s Peace and Love on Jost Van Dyke. We had a traditional Caribbean dinner and Ice Cream to round out our meal. We finished off with a dance party to many camp favorite songs and returned to boats to continue some boat socials! Overall, today was an action-packed and amazing day onboard! See everyone tomorrow!
