Follow Our Journey! Bravo, Charlie, Foxtrot, & Sierra 1- Day 14

Everyone woke up today super excited to go to a brand new place: Nanny Cay! We knew that we were going to the docks, so we were looking forward to taking some land showers in super fancy bathrooms. So fun!!

After a quick breakfast, divers got ready for their AM dive! They went to the Willy T shipwreck with spooky skeletons, giant fan corals, lionfish, sharks, and angelfish. On the second dive, they learned to navigate underwater with a compass! Meanwhile, the rest of the boat had swimmy fun time! While we were out in the water, we snorkeled around shore and saw vibrant corals, and a stingray, and recovered a plate, snorkel mask, and cup dropped from other boats. Some of us went water sporting (tubing and wakeboarding) during swimmy fun time.

On Dreamer, we had all Foxtrot and Sierra kids come over to dissect squids, and we even drew pictures with the ink!

We cleaned on the mooring ball at Great Harbor to get prepared for our cleaning inspection but accidentally dropped the bucket and Nicole had to free dive 61 feet down to retrieve it. After that, we motored to Nanny Cay and docked! Everyone got shore time, shopped for some souvenirs, and enjoyed some virgin pina coladas. Because today was a provisioning day, our fridges and cabinets are filled with pasta, veggies, lots of cheese, and other goodies, including popsicles!!!

Once everyone had eaten dinner, we all had a quiet night on board and played a few rounds of Hot Seat before a nice long night’s rest!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
