Greetings from Mile Hi!

We started our day off with an early wake-up, the sun was just rising and there was a gentle, warm breeze! We all enjoyed a delicious but simple breakfast buffet shortly before divers prepared to embark on their last day of diving! Divers then boarded the dive boats with excitement and enthusiasm. Divers either participated in an enthralling and captivating fun dive or completed their deep diving specialization.

While divers were off on their thrilling adventures, the remaining crew set sail onto new horizons. The crew practiced man overboard drills on their sail with a fender named “Barbara” Couragenously, we fearlessly challenged fellow boats to races, the thought of losing never entered our minds. After an exhilarating battle for speed, we came out on top, claiming victory! We finally made it to Deadman’s Bay, in front of us lay glistening, clear water and a bright blue sky. It definitely was the day for sunscreen!! Shortly after the divers returned, we journeyed on to make a divine lunch for other crew members. Many wanted beans of toast!!

Then, another adventure began for a few, another exciting but sad last dive for many. When they came back, everyone gathered all their energy and excitement for dinghy dares, which we had to challenge other bots to win. With creativity and a positive and optimistic spirit, we attacked all the challenges with resilience and hope to win every one. Shortly after a tiring but fun challenge, we had our last every swimmy fun time 🙁 Still with excitement in our minds, we prepared ourselves for chili cook-off!!!

We all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and had so much fun cooking and showing our ideas and food off to Girls Tripp (our staff boat judges). I think they loved it!! Lastly, we finished our day eating our delicious chili and now we are about to have a boat meeting and then finish the day with a power down and maybe a calming game. I loved writing to you all!

Goodbye from Mile Hi!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
