Our adventure began with a morning hike to the helipad on top of The Bight at Norman Island. We took a moment to quietly reflect and express our gratitude before jumping into fun games of Where the Wind Blows and a Rock Paper Scissor Tournament! We then sailed from the picturesque Bight to the serene Little Harbor on Peter Island. The morning breeze was perfect, and our journey was smooth and enjoyable.

We made a brief pit stop at Nanny Cay to top up our boats’ water supplies. The kids learned about Mediterranean anchoring during this time, adding a valuable skill to their sailing repertoire.

Once anchored at Little Harbor, some of the kids eagerly took to the water, enjoying small boat sailing on the Colgate. Their skills and enthusiasm were impressive as they navigated the clear blue waters.

The evening at Little Harbor was wonderfully relaxed. The secluded bay provided the perfect backdrop for an array of activities: swimming, playing games, engaging in watersports, and more small boat sailing. The kids made the most of every moment, creating memories to last a lifetime.

As the day drew to a close, we enjoyed delicious chicken and veggie chik’n strip quesadillas with peppers and onions for dinner. The night wrapped up with some chill time, allowing everyone to unwind and reflect on the day’s adventures over Boat Meeting.

Overall, it was a day filled with learning, fun, and bonding in the beautiful Virgin Islands.

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
