On July 11th day 4 of the program, we woke up to sunny weather and blue skies. We were moored on a ball at Cooper Island Beach Club. We started the morning off by listening to music and having a breakfast buffet. After that, the open-water divers headed to shore to start their dives!

The rest of the group went to Betty’s Dream, Maora, and Jackalope and motored to Salt Island. At Salt Island, we anchored for the first time and then took a dinghy to shore for a hike. On the hike, we learned about the importance and history of the island while also getting to see the magnificent views from the top!

Once the hike was done, we took dinghies back to the boats and prepared to depart. We then up-anchored and motored back to Cooper Island. Once we got back, we made chicken Caesar wraps for lunch and went for a fun swim around the boats. Soon after it was time for discovery, open water, and advanced open-water divers to head to shore for some exciting diving!

The rest of the group then headed to shore to explore the island and have some fun free time! On shore, people had the opportunity to go into the boutique, the coffee shop, hang out on the beach, and do some water sports. The ASA kids got the opportunity to sail around in the Colgates and practice for their upcoming certifications!

After shore time, everyone returned back to the boats for boat showers and dinner prep. While showers were going on there was a beautiful sunset in the background! After that, we had Sail Caribbean’s famous fried rice which was delicious! Once dinner was over, we cleaned the boats, listened to music, and got ready for boat meeting. For the boat meeting tonight we played games and talked about the schedule for the next day. For the rest of the evening, we had a quiet night on board which included games and hanging out with friends!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
