Follow Our Journey! Alpha & Tango – Day 11

Our day began with a 5:30 AM wakeup call for the staff. By 6:00, we were already motoring towards the Baths, eager to start our day’s adventures. Once there, we embarked on a unique “hikel” (a combination of hiking and snorkeling) that allowed us to explore the beautiful scenery both on land and underwater.

After the “hikel,” we returned to our boats and set sail for the famous Bitter End Yacht Club in the North Sound of Virgin Gorda. Along the way, a squall blew through, causing minor damages, but thankfully everyone remained safe. Unfortunately, in the midst of the commotion, the saddest part of the day occurred when Charlotte’s 14th birthday cake fell to the floor.

Despite this mishap, we pressed on. We dropped our sails and motored the rest of the way to BEYC. Once we arrived, we enjoyed some fun shore time, which included Hobie sailing, mocktails, and relaxing on the beach!

To make up for the lost birthday cake, Maora had a delightful dinner ashore. The day may have had its challenges, but it ended on a high note, filled with fun and camaraderie. Stay tuned for more updates as we continue our journey!

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
