Follow Our Journey! Alpha & Tango 3 – Day 5
Written by Morgan S., Mate
We woke up at beautiful Norman Island at the Bight. After a pancake breakfast, we sent ashore all of our divers of the day. Open water divers went for their last certification dive and discovery scuba divers their first! Then everyone else headed to shore for the helipad hike. On top of our short but steep hike we played where the wind blows, WA, and rock paper scissors – conga line version.
Then we all headed back to boats and started pre-departure checks. We motor-jibbed to Great Harbor and picked up mooring balls in a Sail Caribbean clump. After a thorough jelly check, we were all able to cannonball and flip into the water!
Morgan and Kelly led a squid dissection while waterskiing, kneeboarding, tubing, and combating rotations went out. The campers got really into the squid dissections and learned so many cool thing about one of the many species that live under our boats.
After a whole afternoon packed with fun, we ended our day with a alfredo penne on the beach! We swam around, played baseball with a coconut, found some spectacular shells, and caught the sunset right before a squall came in while we were driving the dinghy back. Off to docks tomorrow!
