Today, some of our students began the day with a voluntary early morning hike at the Bight on Norman Island! While they were hiking, the rest of our students slept in a little later and prepared chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast! When we were all back on our home boats, our Open Water divers prepared for a full day of diving while our Charlie divers prepared for a sail to Great Harbour which is located on Peter Island.

While under sail, students got to practice their tacking skills for a couple hours before heading in for the anchoring. Meursault was the first boat to enter Great Harbour and got to hang out and swim around while waiting for the other boats to arrive. After lunch, our Discover Scuba divers got picked up and joined our Open Water divers for an afternoon dive. The students of Fermi went to shore to enjoy the beach and the students of Montlouis and Meursault sailed on Opal Bella, our 26 ft. keelboat, and got to relax. When divers returned, they were so excited to tell everyone about their dives to Angelfish Reef and Rainbow Canyon! The crew of Meursault and some of the crew of Delta got to hang out before showers and dinner. For dinner, students had delicious tacos, and were told about how exciting the next day would be while traveling to Nanny Cay. There, they will have the opportunity to call home, go shopping, and hang out on docks.

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
