Follow Our Journey! Bravo, Charlie, Foxtrot, & Sierra 2- Day 9
Written by Grace H., mate on Le Grand Bleu
Hello from Trellis Bay on Beef Island! We have had an amazing day here in the BVI packed with scuba diving, upwind sailing, snorkeling a wreck, eating some watermelon, and last but not least: SUSHI NIGHT! We started the morning off at our favorite spot yet, Little Harbour, where we spent two nights on our Mediterranean anchor.
After breakfast, Noah and Ryan headed off to the dive boat to finish their rescue diver certification and Kaeli set off for some community service with local kids as a part of her Foxtrot programming. We’re so proud of their hard work.
The rest of the crew got to practice some tacking on our upwind sail to Trellis, and enjoyed spending time on the boat with a guest appearance from our Social Media Coordinator, Josie. After picking up a mooring ball at Trellis Bay, Izzie, Helena, Macoy, and Stella got to go scuba diving, while Andrew, Daisy, Livia, and Kaeli went to a local artisan’s shop on shore and spent time hanging out on the boat.
Then, Kaeli and the Foxtrotters kayaked in the mangrove trees nearby, while Andrew and Daisy snorkeled a pristine shipwreck just a few yards off of our mooring site! The entire crew reunited at a restaurant called Marche’s for Mega Fleet’s Sushi Night, and they had a fantastic time bonding with other boats!
To end the day, many students got to go on a night dive where they saw sharks, lobsters, crabs and more. Goodnight from Le Grand Bleu!
