Bravo 2 & Charlie 2 2018 Adventures Day 7 – Village Cay To Great Harbour, Peter Island

We woke up this morning at Village Cay full of excitement for the day ahead of us. We had a delicious breakfast of bacon and eggs. We continued on to boat clean before mid-morning, when we were allowed to go around and explore the Roadtown area a little bit more. We walked to the local market and were able to purchase small treats if we wanted to. We also got the opportunity to go to the infamous ice cream shop, La Dolce, and a surf shop.

After wandering around, we headed back to our boats to enjoy lunch from our cockpits. We gobbled up pesto pasta and then started to get ready to leave docks for the day. Clipboard in hand and pre-departure checks completed, we were ready to tell the dock hands our de-docking plan. A smooth de-docking came with ease, and our student crews sailed to Great Harbour on Peter Island.

We picked up a mooring ball in time to relax for a little bit before some took the opportunity to sail around on Sail Caribbean’s 26ft Colgate Keelboats, some chose to water sport and others relish in the opportunity to mingle among boats by snorkeling to and from.

Tonight was Sail Caribbean’s Chili Cook-Off, so we also used this time to prepare for a dinner-extravaganza. We all came up with exciting and creative themes and started to cook our crew’s homemade chili recipe. Zibal’s theme was spooky haunted house and Manao’s was Jeopardy with some hilarious Sail Caribbean questions. Both the boats then had some special guest judges who arrived, tasted their chili and judged their themes. After the friendly visitors had left, we cleaned the boat and held our boat meeting. We were all tired from our eventful and fun day that we headed to bed straight after boat meeting.
