Today, we woke up at Mountain Point to a morning wake boarding session that some of us took advantage of while others decided to catch up on some sleeping. For breakfast, two of our crew made amazing cinnamon rolls, and after breakfast, we up anchored and headed out with our skipper of the day at the helm.

As our main sail was halfway up the mast, our captain had us go through a live action M.O.B (man overboard) drill throwing a buoy overboard. We recovered the buoy using proper technique, and celebrated in pride! We even did this another time and completed it successfully and speedily for the second time.

As we sailed into Long Bay, we had to navigate a field of lobsterpots and accidently picked one up with our starboard dagger board. With quick and responsible thinking and action, we resolved the situation and anchored. We proceeded to play tons of beach games such as wiffle ball and poison ball leading into an amazing BBQ on the beach prepared by our Operations land staff members.

We concluded the night by heading back to boats for showers and cleaning and followed suite with sharing all our  favorite memories we’ve shared together so far.

The greatest challenge during the program was staying entertained during the quarantine period. Not being able to leave your boat and not having a phone, which was a crutch against boredom, it was difficult at first to stay entertained.
